We're baaaaaack! This week's show was a lot of fun and thanks to everyone who listened! So, we were lame this week and really only did half a show due to both of us feeling crappy. :( Two crabby hosts doesn't make for a very good show, so we spared you one. BUT, note that we won't be on the air this Saturday because of Thanksgiving. HOWEVER, our semester finale will be 12/6, so DEFINITELY listen in for that! Anywho, here are the drinks we gave you this week and the songs you heard...

Gin and Sin

2oz Gin

1/4oz Fresh orange juice

1/4oz Fresh lemon juice

2 dashes grenadine

Stir the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, and then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Butterfinger

2oz Butterscotch Schnapps

1/2oz Bailey's Irish Cream

6oz Milk

Chocolate Syrup

Shake schnapps, Bailey's, and milk vigorously with ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Float the chocolate syrup on top.

And for the REALLY adventurous...

Strawberry Splasharita

1 cup frozen Strawberries

1/2 cup good quality Tequila

1/4 cup Triple Sec

1 tbsp fresh semen (Yes, you read that right, SEMEN)

2 cups crushed ice

"Combine all ingredients except semen in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a sugar rimmed glass. Float the semen over the drink. It will coagulate as it cools and adds a splendid finishing touch to this popular drink" (Recipe courtesy of Natural Harvest- A Collection of Semen-Based Recipes) 

Seriously. We talked about this on the show today and we still can't believe this book exists... Anthony and Julia do NOT actually recommend this drink, but we thought this recipe would give you a chuckle. Or might make you vom. Oh well.

1 1/2oz Vodka

1/2oz Triple Sec

1oz Cranberry juice

1/2oz Lemon juice

4 to 5oz 7up

Lemon wedge

-Shake all liquids except 7up with ice

-Strain into cup with ice, top with 7up, stir

-Squeeze lemon wedge into drink and drop it in

Liquid Cocaine (Shooter)

1/2oz Dark Rum

1/2oz Rumple Minze

1/2oz Jagermeister

1/2oz Goldschlager

-Shake ingredients, then strain into a shot glass

Surfer on Acid (Shooter)

3/4oz Malibu Rum

3/4oz Jagermeister

1/2oz Pineapple juice

-Shake ingredients, then strain into a shot glass

Hey hey hey!!!! Today was an amazing show and many thanks go out to everyone that listened and IMed us, you made the show fantastic! As we're posting this, of course we're drunk :) In true Open Bar fashion ;) Here's the drink recipes and songs you heard! 

Matador (In honor of last week's guest host, Elise, pictured above in the WERW studio!)

1 1/2oz gold Tequila (we recommend Jose Cuervo)

3oz Pineapple juice

1/2oz Lime juice

-Shake ingredients vigorously with ice

-Strain into an old-fashioned glass with ice

Salty Chihuahua (in honor of Anthony, who has chihuahuas, ha!)

Lemon wedge

Kosher salt (but LBH, it doesn't need to be kosher)

2oz silver Tequila

5 to 6oz Grapefruit juice

-Rub the rim of the glass with the lemon wedge and rim with salt

-Fill glass with ice cubes, pour in tequila and juice and juice 

-Stir and enjoy

Daisy (in honor of Julia, who was Daisy from Rock of Love 2 for Halloween)

2oz Gin

1oz Lemon juice

1oz Orange juice

1tsp Grenadine

Flag garnish (aka orange and cherry, held together with a toothpick)

-Fill shaker with ice

-Add gin, juices, and grenadine

-Shake, and strain into an old-fashioned glass

-Decorate with garnish

Black Velvet (A Hangover Remedy!)

Equal parts:

chilled  Guinness

chilled brut champagne

Slowly pour the stout and champagne into a glass and DON'T stir.

(Fun fact: This drink was created in 1861 to commemorate Prince Albert)

Heatwave

1oz dark Rum

1/2oz Peach Schnapps

4 to 5oz Pineapple juice

1/4oz Grenadine

Pour the rum and schanpps into a ice-filled glass, top it with the pineapple juice and grenadine, then stir.

Just add em all together, shake, and strain!

1 1/2oz Kahlua

In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend at a medium speed until smooth. Pour it and enjoy!
